About

Thomas Cooper (born in Nova Scotia, Canada) came to the United States in 1998 to realize his potential as an artistic visionary.

After finishing high school he moved to Toronto to study fashion design. Through a series of jobs in the fashion industry that included styling, location scouting and set design for shows, he soon discovered his talent for interior & scene design. Continuing further study in both, where he met wonderful teachers & mentors, he then got the opportunity to work with prominent design studios. He quickly built his clientele and started his own company TEC Design.

To further satisfy his passion for aesthetics and cultures, Thomas began to travel extensively; over most of North America, Europe, Africa, India, Nepal and then eventually moved to New York City to work at a progressive architecture firm.

With sixteen years of experience designing new environments, today, his firm, Thomas Cooper Design, works with an international clientele on luxury residential projects and on the production of “virtual” environments for the screen. As Thomas’ work crosses between two disciplines – real-life homes and the character-driven world of film – each informs, and strengthens, the other. Although each medium is different, at heart a story is being told, and Thomas is a remarkable storyteller.
